What I wish I was wearing today

I so wish I was wearing this outfit to church this morning. I put it together yesterday night for a friend, first of all I did not make it to church this morning it was pouring down badly. I wore jeans, camisole and a hooded vest to the movies in the afternoon when the stormy weather stopped.
I went to see the newest Harry Potter movie , to tell you the truth I have never seen any Harry Potter movies before or read any books so I had to ask my daughter the whole time who is that one is he bad or good and so it went on....... . I might have to start from the beginning to understand the whole Harry Potter concept.
I can't believe that the weekend is almost over.
Hope yours was a good one.

Sneak Peek What I am working on.

My friend Julie told me "you will be surprised how much you can get done even though you are wearing a cast".

Yesterday I was staring at my workspace covered with beautiful freshwater pearls, silver findings and gorgeous sparkly crystals. After a couple of hours of dropping crystals over and over I pretty much got 80 percent of the necklace done, now I am just staring at it and see if I like it from all the angles and then it is ready for me to add a final touch here and there.
I can't wait to share with you when it is complete.

A readers question about the skinny jeans.

"How do you like the skinny jeans? Would someone like me (size 14) look ridiculous in them?"
Thanks for the question, I personally love them, I like how they fit and that I can wear with them tunics and long flowy tops, over sized sweaters dress them down, dress them up for evenings out and so the list goes on....
No I don't think that you would look ridiculous in them just be sure to try different pairs on to see which one will fit you the best.

The skinny jeans being one of the hottest item now, you see them everywhere, but sometimes people rest their decision not to buy one , believing it is only for a certain body type. Well it is not only designed for the skinny and tall but also for the curvy, short or full figure woman. After some research I have put some tips together on what to look for when buying the skinny jeans for the full figure.

Look for a darker wash, most woman look good in a dark color. Depending on your shape some woman might look good in a medium washed too. This tends to be most common among those who have legs that are average or small in size. Light wash or white skinny jeans look good on very few people. Unless you have legs that are long and lean, it is a good idea to avoid wearing skinny jeans that are light in color.

Buying a pair of skinny jeans that are either a perfect fit or even a size larger than you would normally purchase is the best thing that you can do to ensure that they will look great on you. The size and fit of skinny jeans that you opt for will either make or break how the pants look on you. As insignificant as size may seem, it can be one of the main factors that determines how good skinny jeans will look on you.

So another thing to look for is the shoe, if you have shorter legs you should opt for pumps, longer legs can get away with wearing flats. During colder months I wear mine with boots, Shorter boots will make the legs look longer, whereas higher boots can make them look shorter and, ultimately, plumper.

I believe you do not need to be skinny to wear skinny jeans, what you need is confidence that you can rock it. I think it's more about the proportions of your hips to your feet - if you have larger hips then they'll look out of proportion to your feet when you wear skinny jeans as they taper down and you could end up looking heavy at the top. It's more your body shape than your size.

These are just a couple of tips that you should be sure to take into consideration when choosing a pair of skinny jeans. They can all really determine how good or bad skinny jeans will look on you. While you may think that you cannot wear skinny jeans just because you are full figured or short, this is really not the truth. Many women who are plus size actually find that skinny jeans can elongate their legs and actually make them look thinner in comparison to other styles of jeans.
I have searched the web and came out on www.torrid.com where you can find skinny jeans for the full figure lady. So grab a friend and go try some skinnies girl.

Good luck.

Multi color top with skinnies

Hey ladies, today they took some of the stitches out and I am modeling a much smaller cast. I will still need to continue with therapy, a bit more aggressive to what I have been doing. Today I am hanging out with my youngest munchkin who is sick and has been out of school for 2 days now.

I am thinking to post a peek of the dress that I will be wearing for my sister's wedding so you guys can help me out on what I should wear regarding shoes and accessories.
After all this waiting with my hand in the cast, God has blessed with me an opportunity that I will pretty soon share with you guys.
Love,
Farrielle.

top: Anne Klein
skinny jeans: Target

Sneak Peek DIY Bridal Veil and Jewelry

I spent Saturday with my neighbor/friend running around looking for pearls and crystals for my sister's bridal jewelry.
After 5 hours, 4 stores we pretty much found what we were looking for. I found the freshwater pearls I was looking for and I got them matched the same color as the veil. Found some crystals at Michael's that were on sale (thank you God) and also some AB crystals and silver findings at a local beadstore.
I also found some appliques that I am going to try to sew, with the help of my friend July on the veil and then attached pearls and crystals on them as well. Has anyone tried this before, please let me know.

I had to just accept that I will need help cause at this time I am keeping the cast for 4 more weeks, trust me I am not happy about it, but Julie keeps telling me that I will be able to do more than I am imagining.
So this week when her newborn gives her some quiet time she will be assisting me in this endeavour. We have 4 more weeks before the wedding..........
Wish me luck.
