Looking for a Faux fur vest.

These days are spent shopping, running errands, and getting gifts and Christmas cards to their final destination. Meanwhile I have been looking for the perfect fur vest I can't seem to find one. Please help me. I might look tomorrow at the mall, I am looking for a camel color one but I will settle for a beige too if there is no camel one.

I am ready to start crafting I got all the things I wanted a more of course whenever I stepped into a Craftstore I have a list or let me put it this way I have it written on my mind what I want.

I always end up buying more but I do use them all so that is good .

It was freezing this morning, 26F is super cold for an island girl, I wore my Mexx Jacket to Costco (another crazy place I did get to try out everything they had on demo though)

Leather Jacket.

I love this leather jacket, I got it from affliction it is super soft and really keeps me warm today being first day of Winter it actually really feels cold.

On another note I am glad Christmas break it starting today cause I get to sleep a bit longer and just enjoy my children being home. I am planning to do some DIY projects just to keep myself busy. I am procrastinating right now to drive all the way to the craft store though, I guess I need to get up and just go.

Winter Floral Skirt.

I pulled this skirt out, I kinda forgot it was hanging in there. This means that I will have to organize my closet I seem to own a lot of pieces that still has a tag on them. I think it is when I find a comfortable piece I tend to wear it over and over. I bought the scarf while vacationing in Highway I took a shopping tour and ended at Ala Moana Center, it's huge that's all I can say.

What's cooking? Hallacas.

Hallacas are served during Christmas time, this is a tradition originally from Venezuela. But since I grew up on Bonaire which is 50 miles north of Venezuela, I have had hallacas many times at Christmas, we always buy from family. But you all know I love cooking and of course because we can't get it here we had to make our own Hallacas.
My friends from Aruba and Venezuela all came to my house to make this popular dish that involves a lot of preparation.
This all happen prior to making the masa (the cornmeal mixture) we had to wash the leaves, dry them and cure them over the fire. Grocery shopping for ingredients, making the chicken mixture and then adding everything together. I think it took 4 days to do all this but in the end we all got to go home with 20 hallacas and I had 2 already they were delicious. Here are some pictures I wanted to share with you all.

Bows and Bloggers at the Container Store.

I was invited by Tidyup Gal and The Container Store in Buckhead to a Bow's and blogger event. We  learned the art of gift-wrapping with demonstrations by the experts Joni and Ann, I learned how to make my own bow, how to cut straight (yes I am that bad at cutting wrapping paper) with a special cutter for wrapping paper and how to throw a couple of  tissues elegantly in a bag when are in a hurry a need to bring a present.

It was a fun night where I gained a lot of knowledge in the wrapping department and we were also treated to delicious cupcakes from Lenox Cupcakes.
