Saturday's look: Maxi Dress

I love Maxi dresses, they are the perfect summer chic piece you can wear both day or night. The relaxed silhouette makes it an excellent option for leisurely daytime outings, like this mornings trip to the Farmers Market to stock up on eggs ,  organic fruits ,vegetables and my favorite bar of organic Peanut Butter fudge.  After that I took my daughter shopping. Right now I am lounging on the couch about to catch a movie. I hope your Saturday's treating you nice.

It's Black and White.

I had planned yesterday to take pictures of me and my best friend all dressed in white but styled in our own ways. But things did not go as I wanted to this morning so she ended up being dressed in all black which I thought in the end work out great. This is also the first place where we took pictures right when our friendship started.

Sometimes when you least expect it , someone enters your path for a reason.

I still remember when I met her I thought she is nice  ... "I want to be her friend".  What is so unique about this friendship or sisterhood you might ask??

Together we have a lot fun, being silly, singing loudly and dancing in the car, we laugh at the same things, without saying anything we know what the other one is thinking, even though we see each other daily we still chat at night before we go to bed with the web cam on, we love good food, we do not drink  so we can dance all night,  we are addicted to Zumba, I can always be myself,  I can do the ugly cry  in front of her without being like "what in the world my mascara is running" , she knows everything about me, we love shopping, we go to the grocery together everyday, we like trading leftovers , we love what we call our girls wine (almost no alcohol in it), we talk in the  middle of movies yes a lot. We love Adele and Bruno Mars and will sing the songs over and over at the point that it will become boring to others.

I think what I have is one unique bond that I always wanted to have in a friend.  Sis I love you have fun on your vacay I am counting the days till you get back:)

Look of the day: A ray of sunshine.

Taking it easy today. Had a couple of errands to run in the morning and then did some dvr catching up.... ( I think I just made a new word) some Spanish Soaps I might say. Yesterday I was making lunch and I was like wow I have to make two lunches and I am bit tired.......so I caught myself complaining in my mind.

This morning  I read a facebook post that reminded me to be happy and thankful that I was making lunch for 2 ,  first because I saw a lady posting that she was making 9 lunches ( she has 12 adopted kids). Second lots of kids will have to do without a lunch. No more complaining here.
I like wearing neutral colors but to add a little extra something to the outfit I chose to use this yellow purse that has been laying around in my closet. This color adds a little bit of sunshine to the ensemble it's my way to send happy energy to you.

Wednesday: Words of Wisdom.

This is what I wore: Turqouise shorts

I wore these shorts with a black top yesterday and brown sandals, and normally I will wear it with a white tank top.This BCBG silk top gives the short more of a polish look I might say a bit  more dressy than your usual shorts and sandals.  I really like this.  I went grocery shopping for some ingredients this afternoon and spent a couple of hours in the kitchen putting together a yummy dinner  meatloaf cupcake with mashed potato frosting and delicious silky smooth tomato bisque. Ok now it's time to catch up on the Spanish Soaps. I hope your Tuesday is treating you wonderful.

I love a good piece of Chocolate whenever I am in Belgian I buy boxes of Chocolate and bring them back with me. I eat one piece every other day so I can enjoy it for a longer period of time.  I love the color sea foam it reminds me of home, the island of Bonaire. Celebrating double digits.

My youngest one turns 10 today, finally double digits.  I am blessed to have him as my son,  he is the sweetest boy ever with a big caring heart always thinking about others first. He is smart, talented and has an desire to learn each day, he is one curious little guy.  It's an honor to call you my son,  Happy Birthday to one super cool boy.
