Fall is in the Air (Statement Jewelry)

Fall is in the Air
Can you feel it? Fall is in the Air, one of my favorite seasons. I just love the turning of the leaves into the vibrant red and orange hues. To name a few reasons of the many, first I can't wait to decorate my house and second make my favorite pumpkin pancakes. This is one of my many fall inspiration boards I really love every piece on here but I am looking for a less expensive version. So I am going on a Quest will let you know what I find.

These days you see statement jewelry everywhere they are popular pieces that you could use to jazz outfits you already have hanging in your closet. It is a complete transformation trust me. These are investments that will make you look amazing without breaking the bank. After my thumb heals and I can go back to beading , I am just going to play around with some beads and come up with my own cool pieces. If you are not so crafty like me you can definitely check out Banana Republic, Spiegel and Urban Outfitters they have quite a selection with different price ranges. Or just throw on a pile of chains over each other you can get these at Forever 21 and voila you have a necklace made by your beautiful self. For now I leave you with a couple of pieces I made beginning of the year. Remember these?

Friday Look: It's wrap!

I don't exactly remember where I got this dress, but I normally wear it to church. I kept the accessories to a minimum cause the pattern is already large, I wanted the look to radiate simplicity. The color red just adds a pop of color to the outfit.

I am feeling great today, first my therapy went well yesterday I got to bend my thumb at 45 percent, remember when it was only at 15 percent, second it is Friday and this is going to be a long weekend. We do not have much planned, my daughter is going to her first football game with our friends, ( we have never been to one, the truth is we do not quite understand American Football, we are soccer fans), but we are open minded and risk takers like my 8th year old would say , so we are definitely going to watch one very soon.
Tomorrow we are invited to a barbecue at our friends house, it always good when you do not have to cook. This Sunday I celebrate Bonaire day (where I was born and raised) so I will proudly hang my flag outside and play cultural music and dance to it all day driving my family crazy.

So what are you doing this weekend, anything special??
Remember you are Beautiful and Special.
Have a great weekend ladies.

Look of the day: Shorts and Jacket

The day that I planned to wear shorts, it is 66 degree in the morning. Well I decided to wear a jacket in case the cold takes over, but it ended up getting a bit warmer and nice actually.
These BR shorts wear 49 dollars but I got them for $9,99 now that is one great deal, it wasn't difficult to say yes. I have a trip planned to the Caribbean in a couple of weeks and it will really come in handy.

Right now I am watching a show called My Antonio it is kinda silly though but it makes me laugh at all these ladies that are trying so hard to win Antonio's heart.

So do you watch reality shows and which ones?
Have a great Thursday,

Wednesday lookbook ; Palazzo Pants

While reorganizing my closet this week I stumbled upon these pants, I got them on a trip to Europe a couple of years ago. And for some unknown reason I wore them only twice.
On Wednesday I meet with other moms for moms in touch prayer group. After prayer time me and my neighbor Lisa had delicious sushi for lunch. She also mentioned that she was planning to stop at Banana Republic, so I tag along with her and treated myself to some sweet deals.
Right now I am battling some eye allergies that decided to knock at my door these last couple of days, really bad idea.

A quick question what kinda shoes would you recommend me that are good for a wedding when I might be running around like a pollo loco or standing a lot. I love heels but I can't decide yet what to buy, I am planning to pay DSW a visit next week.

Tuesday dots

Tuesday started off good, cause my therapy went much smoother. The weather outside reminds me off the days I used to live in Amsterdam grey and wet. My therapist asked me where I am heading today because I am all dressed up, my answer was I am staying home working on a bracelet. I told her that where I come from we always dress up when we go to see a dr. or just downtown to shop. But it also makes me feel good about myself when I put the effort of picking out an outfit that makes me feel happy and confident.
Have yourself a Terrific Tuesday.

Take it Easy Monday

Taking it easy this Monday, I am still working on the bridal jewelry. It is going slow but it works.
How was your weekend, I hope yours was fun and relaxing.
The outfit I am wearing today is just a little something I put together this morning. Besides working on the necklace, I have been catching up on Facebook and Twitter which can be addictive sometimes. I also cleaned up my closet and pull out a bag of clothes that I have not worn for a couple of months I realize that I do not need 10 pairs of black pant (different styles different brands though) so I am saying good bye to them.

I am planning to consign them but I have not done this so before I need to research my options, the clothes are all in good shapes and are brands like Banana Republic, The Limited, Rampage and Gap.
Have a great evening, the hubby promised us homemade french fries with filet mignon for dinner I can't wait.
