Black and Mustard.

Sporting the handmade cowl from the earlier post, it adds a nice pop of color to the outfit I am wearing today. I went back to the Gym after a month yesterday and Zumba was hot but hard  and I woke feeling it this morning for sure. The smile on my face is just for you yes you are that special. I drank a nice veggie juice this morning part of our healthy routine and now eating my lunch and then heading out for a massage I really need it. I hope your day is Wonderful.

What I made: Handmade Cowls

I have taught myself how to crochet, I do have a book about how to read the stitches etc but trust me it is like a foreign language to me. I decided to start reading from the beginning wish me luck.
But these two I finished them yesterday very late well it was after midnight, the driftwood color is my daughter's I had to change it a little bit. I am sorry I can't explain to you here how I made it cause I just keep going and see how it turns out and every time it turns differently, maybe a DIY video soon.
I got myself some new yarn and I can't wait to make something new it is very relaxing to me.

A Little Black Dress.

I wore this on New Years during the day, just wanted to wear something special even though I stayed home and watch 3 episodes of Mad Men. Later at night the hubby cooked for us homemade french fries , Filet Mignon and shrimps on grill. This dress is an old one, I don't get to wear it a lot I have to say it's because it has been in the closet but I forgot I had it.

a new profile picture for my facebook and etsy.

What I wore on New Years Eve with my friend Ruthline.

What's cooking? Pesto Shrimp.

I stumbled upon this recipe in a book I gave my husband for Christmas. The book is Practical Paleo.

Pesto Shrimp & Squash Fettuccine
(instead of Squash I used  zucchini)

2 dozen large shrimp
4 zucchini or yellow squash
sea salt and black pepper to taste

Pesto
(if you don't want to make your own  you can buy your own)
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1 bunch cilantro, rinsed
1 clove garlic
1//2 cup extra-virgin olive oil or macadamia nut oil
sea salt and black pepper to taste

Make the pesto first blend till smooth in a food processor.
Peel and devein the shrimps, wash the zucchini and peel the skin of and slice them very thin I steamed them in a steamer.  I sauteed the shrimps in the pesto and then mixed them with the steamed zucchini.
