Wednesday Bubble skirt

How are thing going this Wednesday? I hope you are doing great. Over here it is slow not to much, we took the kids bowling this morning then grocery shopping.
And now we are watching Buzz Lightyear movie, I will never get tired of watching it over and over again.
I am wearing a bubble skirt I bought on a trip to Europe 2 years ago, I do not wear it often but I fell in love with it all over again, so you will see me wearing it often now. The infinity scarf is the one I stumbled upon on a trip to Marshalls, after many attempts to knit my own I found this one in the sales bin at Marshalls. You never know what you will find when you dig deep.
leggings: Marshalls, boots DSW, clutch: Nine West top: The Limited.

Have a great evening, stay tuned cause I have an awesome giveaway very soon. Ok I will give one hint it's not jewelry.

Lookbook: bridal jewelry

I have seem to have catch the creative bug these days cause since the holidays I have been working on bridal pieces for my Etsy shop. This is my latest creation the Antonia Necklace named after my aunt who lives on the island of Curacao. I spent many of my summer vacations at her house and she used to make me the cutest clothes when I was growing up.

I still have to list this one but will be after dinner. I went to see the Avater 3D today and it was Awesome. I am not into that genre of movie, let me tell you I was not bored for one second.
Hope your doing great, Happy Monday I just realized that  this is the last Monday for this year. I hope that tomorrow I can go back to posting outfits:)

Yes Leah to answer your questions  I do sell my creations today. And guess what I did pick up some black lace this afternoon. Thanks for the inspiration. So ladies check my Etsy shop when you have some free time. Let me know what you think .

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, I  hope you are surrounded by your loved ones on this special day.
It was a joy to see my kids opening their present this morning. They woke earlier today.

This evening we had a great time as a family, the hubby cooked a super nice meal. We are thankful for all the blessings God has given us ,especially remembering that Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Although I am far away from my family this season, I wanted to say something in my language to my friends and family overseas. "Bon Pasku, mi ta spera ku otro ana ku Dios ke nos tur por pase huntu, mi stima boso"

Sunday Lookbook: Layers!

Hello there, how are you guys doing on this Sunday. I feel like the weekend went pretty fast. This picture was taken at the Andretti's Indoor Karting, but did not come out good. And the guys in the back must be thinking what is going? Taking pics in public does not bother me at all:) But because it was indoor and the light was not quite right, I decided to take more when I get home. I layered a long sleeve burgundy top over a grey tunic and a scarf to keep me warm.

I did not ride any cars, but the hubby and the kids did, and they really like it and wanted to go one more time. Hubby just made dinner, sweet and sour chicken.
Sorry for the short post, but I have to go eat now.
Have a great evening guys.

Saturday lookbook: Cozy Sweater

Hi there friends, how is your Saturday so far? Mine has been a very casual one, we were home in the morning then had to go exchange some curtains we ordered at Pottery Barn. We drove to Lenox mall, it is a nice mall, lots of sales going on, Banana Republic had 40% off, The Limited and Express and Gap had sales too. But when you have the kids with you it is impossible to look at clothes, cause it is boring to them, they want to see toys, gadgets etc etc. So I had to just  suck it in and put on a happy face. We took them Apple Store and they were happy cause they could play on the Iphones , they are not allowed to play on the husband's Iphone.

I am wearing a sweater from Banana Republic gift from the Husband, one thing with the sweater is I can't hug people wearing black cause it will leave a trace of fuzz on them. Jeans, Banana Republic, I'm thinking of buying a second pair cause this is a bit big on the waist I need to go one size down. Slouchy boots are from DSW.

Have you entered my giveaway already??? check it out here

Friday's experiment: Knee High socks

I decided to be open-minded and a  risktaker this afternoon. I like how the knee high socks are being worn these days. I remember seeing it on someone while in Europe and it looked so cool. If you are trying this look out like me , it's best to start with a monochromatic palate. I am wearing it with shoes today, but you can also  wear them with booties and regular boots. I have tried it with the boots in the past and I used the socks for a pop of color peeking out of my boots.

I buy my socks  at Marshalls or TJMaxx, and I know at Kohl's they have them too.
I am wearing: dress BCBG, sweater: Gap, socks:? bought at Marshalls, shoes Steve Madden, necklace handmade.
Have a great weekend.

I am planning to babysit a bit in a morning and shop later for the teachers.

T'is the season

Hey fellow bloggers and readers, how was your weekend? Sorry for the lack of post, but I  have been way  busy  to blog.  I went to a Christmas Musical at my church on Friday night with my family and a group of dutch friends (including a Martine who always reads my blog all the way in Holland).  Yesterday morning we went as a  family to bring gifts to the less fortunate, and in the evening me and el marido went out with friends to Eclipse di Luna for tapas, and after wards went to Loca Luna for some dancing.
We just got back from a birthday. The husband made split pea soup, although it is not my favorite kind of soup but I still did enjoy a warm bowl of the soup.

Have you been busy too? I am happy that the hubby's vacay is starting tomorrow and we can do our Christmas shopping without having a babysitter watching the kids. We have more than a week before school is out.
Have a great week.

What I made today: Garnet Cubic Zirconia

Posted by Picasa

A week ago I got to choose some Cubic Zirconia beads from Artbeads . I decided to make a necklace and a pair of dangling earrings. Artbeads have quite a large selection of Cubic Zirconia beads in many shapes and colors, check them all  here.
They add glamour , a touch of  sparkle to any of your beading projects. You can dress up your little black dress with a stunning necklace made of a mix of different  colors of Cubic Zirconia.  I chose 4 mm and 6 mm faceted bicone in the Garnet color I wire wrapped them with Garnet beads. The focus bead is a faceted Oval drop Garnet and it is even more prettier in person. For the earrings I used 2  flat faceted teardrop for the earrings. I combined them with Vintaj brass.
I think the deep color of the Garnet shines more with the chocolate brown suede and the brass chain. Be sure to stop by Artbeads and check all the beautiful Cubic  Zirconia they have in store.

Disclosure: "I do not get paid by Artbeads for blogging about their products. It is a joy for me to this for them. They sent me beads for free because I am part of their blogging progam."

Thursday Lookbook: Brown and black

Right now I am thinking of my family overseas in the Caribbean. Why? Cause it is freaking cold over here, and me and mr. Cold are not friends. The sun is bright but be not fooled cause it is brutal cold with the wind.
I wore this after cleaning upstairs to lunch and running some errands. I got some body warmer (vest) at Old Navy for the kids.

me using the remote but it took the picture to quickly so I could not get my hand down in time.

Lookbook: Windy Wednesday.... black jacket.

It is a beautiful but windy day here in Georgia. I tried to take pictures outside but it was way too windy, I thought the trees were going to fall on me, so I decided to take pictures inside.

I went for a tea with a friend this morning and stopped by to get my affadavit notarized. I won a wardrobe from Affliction. I need to send my size today:)I am excited and also wondering what they are going to pick out for me.

How has your Wednesday been so far, are you already done with your Christmas list?? Are you going somewhere to visit family or just staying home? I have not started yet. The kids wrote their list I think last month or so. We always do things last minute in our household and I kinda leave it to my husband to go do the shopping otherwise It would take me more than a day , he has much better focus than me, I like wandering around and looking and talking here and there and that takes even more time.

I am wearing;
skinny jeans Old Navy, tunic (?) boots: Bandolino, jacket: old
