My favorite British style Icon: Alexa Chung.

Seriously I am also in the Olympic Spirit, I try to DVR things when I am outside running errands so I can watch them at night. So this week IFB had a challenge I had to be part of, to showcase my favorite fashion muse from the United Kingdom.
Well I can't get enough of Alexa Chung, this girl can wear anything and it all looks effortless and totally doable. She is an inspiration in pairing different, shapes, textures and colors.
She is confident and does not take herself too seriously. I love that her style is comfortable and that she wears simple items in a very unique way. Her style is simple, classic and she wears it with style and confidence.

Bring back the Memories.

I had leftover funchi (polenta) and decided to make a snack my grandma and my mom used to make for me as a little girl on the island.

I added Gouda and Old Amsterdam cheese on the fried polenta, it sure brought back memories of the tiem when I would sit outside in the shade of the trees and enjoy this treat.

I wore this exactly a year ago, I like looking back at pictures. This was taken during a trip to the Local Farmers Market. This week has been a week filled with Zumba, TRX and Running, no time to dress up nor to take pictures. As I sit in front of the TV watching Forest Gump , with a glass of red wine and pita chips and hummus, I am reminded that sometimes it is ok to just wear gym clothes, well only for this week.

Bohemian feel.

I realize this morning that I have way too much clothes in my closet, that I only wear a few. I stumbled upon these pants, that I have completely forgotten about. They still fit. I paired it with top that reminds me of Africa why I really can't explain. I wore the necklace with the peacock feather in it just to break the matchy matchy feeling of different shades of brown.

What's cooking? Angel Hair Pasta with Mushroom

I like to try new things yes even when it comes cooking, and today I woke up with pasta on my mind,  I needed a new recipe something different.  This one is new to me. It was yummy, easy  and the most important part is that the  kids love it and that left me with a huge smile on my face.

Lazy Sunday!

Trying to gather my thoughts as I lay here in bed , being quite in the moment thinking things through, weighing the pros and cons, not letting fear nor doubts rule me. As I  rise stronger, with a clearer mind with goals in front of me..... I can see the path ahead one step at the time.
