TGIF:lookbook Bridesmaid take 2

I have been busy shopping and getting things ready for my trip overseas. My sister is getting married this coming Sunday. I am very excited and just more at peace that I got her jewelry and her veil done in time. I finished the jewelry that me and our youngest sisters are wearing a couple of days ago. I decided two make 2 bouquets and I think in the end it looks very nice.
My friends have been asking for a picture of the dress, so I decided to take a pic before I leave.Hope you like. I will be gone for a week to the Caribbean, I do not know if I will have time to blog but I promise I will take pics to share when I am back.

Have a wonderful weekend.

xoxo

Black on black ...

Happy Tuesday, how has your day been? Mine has been a little bit busy getting my last minute shopping done before my sisters wedding. I need to make a confession, I did not wear this outfit today, I got home after shopping and got into comfy clothes and forgot to take pics.
One of my readers in Colorado called me and said "hey you are behind with your blog" !

So I decided to put something together, this is just an experiment trying out this ensemble to see how I would wear it for warm and cold weather.
These boots have been in my closet for 1 year and half and it seems like I never use them .
So this Fall/Winter I am putting them to use.

Ok ladies, I am ready to have dinner, tonight's menu Creole chicken a la mom, with green beans and sweet mashed potatoes.

Have a nice evening.

I am wearing:
skirt: Pimkie
top: F21
belt: is actually a handbag strap
boots: Matisse
leggings: Marshall's
sweater:TJMaxx
bangles: H&M, F21

Crazy for Crystallized.

Two days ago I shared with you all that I was asked to blog about products from Artbeads.com. I got to choose some gorgeous crystals and pearls on their site. So let me rewind to the beginning on why I chose these particular colors. I bought my bridesmaid dress a couple of weeks ago not knowing what kinda jewelry I would wear. So when Duchess emailed me about this opportunity to blog about their site, I decided to take advantage and choose the colors that were going to be used in the floral arrangements at the wedding. I included on my list two 18 mm faceted large hole crystal copper, faceted round smoked Topaz just to name a few, it was very difficult to choose cause they have such a variety of crystals and the prices are really affordable.

When my package arrived two days ago they were even more gorgeous in person. They really have quite some sparkle especially at night with lights on they kinda pop out more. I used them as the focal point of my necklace and bracelet. I was kinda nervous about using crystals , I normally make more chunkier necklaces. I would only use crystals for clients or for earrings.

With these crystals there are endless possibilities, you can use them for a more soft, feminine look or use the large hole ones with leather, chains or silk rope for a more edgier look. I am sticking to a softer, romantic look for a bridesmaid this time. Next time I will go for a more rock glam look.

I also got some brown Swarovski pearls as you see in this picture , I combined them with the faceted crystals in Copper, Topaz and light Colorado Topaz. In the end I was extremely happy with my finished products, they truly look elegant. I can't wait to wear them. So for all your crystallized beads you should definitely check artsbeads.com you are in for quite a treat. I can now say ........ I am hooked:)
