Saturday Farmers Market.

I was glad that I wore a skirt with a tank top cause by the time I sat in the car around 10 am to leave for the Farmers Market the temperature was  already a hot 82 degrees. No I am not complaining.
I have had this skirt for years, I take it with me on every summer trip.  I bought some delicious peanut butter fudge,  yummy goat cheese that has a similar taste to blue cheese. I can't wait to try it out on a cracker with a glass of wine.

Color blocking trend!

Color blocking  involves combining two or more different colors in one outfit. The important part is that the colors are solid, meaning they are not broken up by patterns or prints. So this is  me trying out  the color blocking trend.  I have to say I feel like a ray of sunshine today, very infectious like this  song I am hooked on these days and can't seem to get it out of my head.

Fresh painted skirt!

The story behind this skirt is .... .......where do I start??  I wish I could tell you that I bought this skirt in the color white and I had a group of friends come over and just squirt paint all over it and what you see is the end result , a beautiful  hand painted skirt.

Nooo that is not the story, last week I went for a walk near a new thrift store and I decided to check it out and I found this cute colorful skirt hanging there on the rack for $3, I did not hesitate and took it home with me, yes I paid for it though before I left with it.

Balancing the Nautical Stripes.

I bought this top some where in Belgium  I can't recall the store name, I have worn it in Holland when the weather was a bit chilly with a red scarf under a olive green military style jacket with long 70's jeans.
Here in the ATL. I am wearing it with shorts, I had to run a couple of errands today last minute back to school things to buy.
The clutch is the perfect pop of color to spice up this outfit.  Ok peeps, I wish you guys  a happy Hump Day, tonight will be a early tuck my self in type of thing  cause tomorrow it will be "too stinking early wake-up"!

Look of the day: White shirt!

I planned this look yesterday evening, I knew it would be a busy  and long day so the look had to be polished but comfortable. Today was orientation day for both the kids, for my oldest one it was quite long cause we had to pretend we were going actually to the classes. So we ran upstairs, then downstairs then again upstairs. I am happy with both the teachers that will be teaching my kids, I must say that I am not ready for school to start cause that means waking up at 5.30 in the morning.

What's cooking????

I ask my self daily, what am I going to cook for dinner, I like trying new things. I do not follow recipes all the time I like adding my own flavor to it. One thing I love is presentation I like to imagine that I am working in a restaurant or on a TV show.
I used to pretend I am on TV doing a cooking show I have film to prove that one. So yesterday I had to cook for my own self  and my little one. I made a corn casserole for the first time, he liked it a lot. This time I follow a recipe I  found on foodnetwork.  I think that next I will add pancetta to it, maybe thin sliced bell peppers and red onion and spice it up with some Caribbean Jerk seasoning.
So this is Schnitzel, Arugula , Green beans on a bed of  Corn Casserole.

My Etsy finds; I can't wait for Fall!

Fall is my favorite season, actually I can't wait for Fall to be here. I am madly in love with the gorgeous blue skies, the colorful leaves, the smell of wood burning, pumpkins, lingering with friends on the front porch, sipping hot chai by the fire, hiking, casseroles, pumpkins, picking apple at the orchard, hayride,  tights, boots and   scarfs.
These are my Etsy finds for this Monday, I can only hope that Fall is not too far away.

What I made today: Pearl bracelet

Just finished this one, it was my first time working with illusion cord.
I hand crochet all the pearls together.
Soon in my Etsy shop.

Olive Green Gargo Skinny.

The other day I organized my closet and threw away things I did not wear anymore and things that I have not worn in a year are waiting on a friend to pick them up. I am so proud of myself today I ran 22 minutes using the vibrams and adjusting my way of running. After that I ran the bycycle and then lifted weights. I made myself a healthy lunch and added chia seeds in it.

This scarf has been laying nicely all the way on the bottom of a pile of summer scarfs, I decided to play around with it first as a headband and then around my neck.
I got the skinny cargo pants at Old Navy and haven't been wearing them that much cause the weather has been so hot but today I am mostly inside behind my desk working on a new bracelet, why not wear something cool and comfortable.
It is the start of a busy week, this week both my kids go back to school and you know what that means, school orientation etc etc.
I wish you a great week.
