Skirts are in!

Fall brings us beautiful change of leaves, pumpkin spice late and with that coming shopping for new pieces for my closet. On of the things I love the most is skirts. I have stubble upon Reitmans who  has  the best selection from faux leather to pencil skirts.

There are classic pieces you can add to  your already existing wardrobe. Pair them with beautiful colorful tights and boots and you are ready to go. And if  you are a trendy chick, there is something for you too. 

Here are two of my favorites, which will be easy to pair with comfy fuzzy warm sweaters or just a button down shirt. 

Meet my new baby.

The reason I had to take a little time off of blogging was that I was busy making a collection of scarves for my Etsy shop. Since I have been making scarves I had many people tell me I should sell them so 3 weeks ago I had a show at friends house and the scarves were a hit. So starting today you can purchase your scarf or cowl in my Etsy shop under the same name, Farrielledesign.
I called my scarf collection Felici which is part of my middle name but also means Happy in Italian.

Quick and Healthy: Pumpkin seeds with a kick.

I recently bought pumpkin seeds my daughter really likes and I love it when she snacks on something healthy. But for me I was missing something they seem plain and boring to me.
I spiced it up with spices I had on hand like cumin, Cajun spices, and other stuff I had in my pantry you even add pepper flakes. I coated them with a little bit of grape-seed oil mix them really good and toasted them in a pan. Now I have a yummy healthy snack that punches a spicy kick. Tonight I will paired with my favorite wine and enjoy the weather from my porch.

Time to Update my Fall Closet.

I have been looking to update my closet for Fall, I want to reuse pieces I have but I also want to do a little shopping I want to bring in some new stuff. Who doesn't love a little bit of shopping.

First thing one my list would be a beautiful coat that has a timeless look all over and fits me well. I really love fitted coats, it shows off so elegant. 

I have found one that doesn't break the bank on Simons.ca it's a mixed media double-breasted coat with faux leather sleeves and I have my eyes fixed on the perfect Tahari riding boots from DSW  to go with it.

On my wish list from Simon Ca, a red ribbed cuffed beanie perfect for those bad hair days and a glamorous faux-fur stole cause I always wanted one. 

Sunday's best:" Sweet and Edgy.

I really think this is one of my favorite outfits cause this just describe my personality, I am sweet but I can be tough too. I cut these jeans and wore my military laced up boots, and decided to pair it with this beautiful lace top so it's more softer or as I would describe it sweet and edgy. It's a beautiful Sunday, Fall is definitely in the air, and I so want to start decorating this year I want to decorate a little bit different instead of orange pumpkins I am looking for a natural scheme. Think pumpkin in a cream color. I hope your Sunday is treating you nice.

My Etsy finds; I can't wait for Fall!

Fall is my favorite season, actually I can't wait for Fall to be here. I am madly in love with the gorgeous blue skies, the colorful leaves, the smell of wood burning, pumpkins, lingering with friends on the front porch, sipping hot chai by the fire, hiking, casseroles, pumpkins, picking apple at the orchard, hayride,  tights, boots and   scarfs.

I feel my best in jeans

That is a true statement I do feel the most fabulous when I am in jeans.  El marido reminded me today that I own 29 pairs and that I am always in need of jeans. "Yes honey  I do need a new one".

Let me recap my morning, woke up at 5.30  had breakfast with my oldest, organized my husband clothes, watched my favorite Spanish soap "thank God for Tivo", went for a run with my youngest, drop him off at school. Organized my side of the closet, cleaned up the house, did a load of laundry, reached for a snack and also a piece of Belgian chocolate. Took a shower, went grocery shopping, took pictures and now I am taking a break. My life sounds busy , but I am thankful and loving  every second of it. So for dinner, I am fixing chicken and pasta I am adding some pancetta to give it a bit of a yummy kick. Have a great day guys.
