Chocolate with a hint of Turqoise

In less than one hour it will be Wednesday but I still wanted to share what I wore today.
What did I do actually?..... I downloaded pics on my facebook, then went to the grocery store . My friend helped me cooked moro (it is a Dominican rice dish) .
After dinner we went to the pool, cause these day's it is was too hot during the day to lounge at the pool.

Blue and White Monday

Happy Monday ladies, I woke up a bit late this morning oopsie. I had planned to wake up early so I can train myself and the kids for school next week. I can't believe it that school is starting back already, the summer vacation surely went fast.
Things I did today: grocery store, and then hangout with my family and a friend at the pool.
I so wish I could swim, but I have to keep the cast dry. Tonight dinner is Salmon on cedar plank, mashed potatoes, sauteed green beans with a salad.

Floral skirt becomes dress for a day.

I woke up feeling much better, thanks for checking on me Marisela (she is my cousin all the way in the Caribbean) and all the calls and comments they all cheer me up.

Like I said yesterday, clothes have to be easy for me these day's, this skirt has been hanging in the closet for maybe 2 years and I have never worn it cause it is a bit too long so I decided to wear it as dress , I added a yellow belt for a pop of color also a waist definition. Even the color of the cast goes well with the outfit.
Nothing planned for today other than just relax and taking it easy.

Easy Does it.

Easy pieces likes these are the ones I have to stick with these days, shirts wide enough that I can fit my hand in, shorts I can zip up with one hand. It was a rough night sleeping with the cast, but enough complaining. Cheer up !

Promise to myself : "I will do my best to make this situation a smooth one, quit crying and feeling pity for myself". Others out there have it worse than me. So I am thanking God for making it clear to me today, that I have to be thankful in every situation. So I got myself dressed today and took it outside where the weather is sunny and gorgeous had to fight off some bees but it is all great. I am wearing my bangles on the left hand side just a reminder for me to smile more. Kudos to Kimster for taking pics today.

Me and my friend (yesterday's post

This morning I felt like posing with my friend Joyce. I am so glad I have her in my life. She has been my Zumba buddy, Starbucks friend and my best friend. These past days she has been a big help when I had my hand surgery she came and cleaned , folded laundry and of course drive me around.
These pics were taken was before I went to see the dr. (upper right is from after the dr.)
I thought I would get a small splint for my thumb, but nooo I came out of the office with a cast, there were many colors to choose from I decided to go with light blue.
It will have to stay on for 3 weeks , I am not so happy but it is the best to let it heal, this means that I will still need people to help me. This has been a quite humble experience. I like to do things on my own, asking for help not really something I would ask for. Folding clothes with one hand, not fun at all. I like my house to be clean and always picture perfect, I have learned now that I have to take it easy and that the house doesn't always have to be perfect.

Fashion in Paris

While on vacation in Paris, I tried snapping a couple of pictures of random people. This is the fun part when you get a good spot for people watching. Lot's of inspiration. From the model on a photo shoot to the lady with the lovely read head covering.
