Happy 1st Birthday.

A year ago my friend delivered a beautiful baby, they named her Bella I got to meet her  after a couple of hours. It has been such a joy to see her grow, she has one talented Mom who scrapbooks, and takes pictures and keep us all up to date. Today we celebrated her 1st birthday. Everything was perfect, from the decorations to the food and of course to what Bella was wearing. I know I had a great time.

August Break 2011

I got these book through Amazon, and after a day of cleaning the house and organizing the closet I am going to enjoy these books with a good glass of port. Have a great weekend.

August break nr. 4

It seems that I mostly take pictures of food, to me cooking is a way to calm my self . I love the aromas of the different herbs that goes into my food. I think I put a lot of love into my cooking, this is how I do it, I put nice music, I get myself a glass of water, light a candle and I dance while I am cooking.
Today's dinner is Chicken Curry , Basmati Rice and Wheat Naan.
The kids thought it was spicy, I think this was the best one I have made so far.

This made me smile: Move

Like any normal human being there are times you might feel down or just sad and not happy about certain things in life, I try not to linger too much around the sad-feeling-blue-down cycle.
I came across this video on vimeo and it made me smile. I had to share this with you guys.

Feeling Good: Skirting Around

I was awakened by storms at 3am and boy they  kept me up till 4.30 in the morning so I decided to sleep in a bit let say an extra hour. I woke up later to the song of Michael Buble Feeling Good.  That is already an extra boost. A quick peek outside the window to see what I can wear, cloudy sky, not so hot all.  So  a skirt came in handy... well I kinda planned on wearing it anyways.

I found this skirt yesterday at a Thrift Store, I normally never Thrift but I had to wait on my son to finish his class so I decided to go for a walk.
I am glad I did I came out with 2 skirts.

Sometimes it's pays to step inside a place you never would....... you might come out with special things.

August Break day 3: Watermelon

Nothing better than a slice or just a bowl of chunks of refreshing super yummy watermelon on a hot day. I have been feeding my self watermelons for breakfast and lunch....... but  for dinner I stick to salads.

My second picture is from a bead I bought recently in the Netherlands, in the town of Enschede. I am fascinated by the color and the shape and by how in the world did they get the thread in there??? I can only imagine.
