Floral skirt becomes dress for a day.

I woke up feeling much better, thanks for checking on me Marisela (she is my cousin all the way in the Caribbean) and all the calls and comments they all cheer me up.

Like I said yesterday, clothes have to be easy for me these day's, this skirt has been hanging in the closet for maybe 2 years and I have never worn it cause it is a bit too long so I decided to wear it as dress , I added a yellow belt for a pop of color also a waist definition. Even the color of the cast goes well with the outfit.
Nothing planned for today other than just relax and taking it easy.

Easy Does it.

Easy pieces likes these are the ones I have to stick with these days, shirts wide enough that I can fit my hand in, shorts I can zip up with one hand. It was a rough night sleeping with the cast, but enough complaining. Cheer up !

Promise to myself : "I will do my best to make this situation a smooth one, quit crying and feeling pity for myself". Others out there have it worse than me. So I am thanking God for making it clear to me today, that I have to be thankful in every situation. So I got myself dressed today and took it outside where the weather is sunny and gorgeous had to fight off some bees but it is all great. I am wearing my bangles on the left hand side just a reminder for me to smile more. Kudos to Kimster for taking pics today.

Me and my friend (yesterday's post

This morning I felt like posing with my friend Joyce. I am so glad I have her in my life. She has been my Zumba buddy, Starbucks friend and my best friend. These past days she has been a big help when I had my hand surgery she came and cleaned , folded laundry and of course drive me around.
These pics were taken was before I went to see the dr. (upper right is from after the dr.)
I thought I would get a small splint for my thumb, but nooo I came out of the office with a cast, there were many colors to choose from I decided to go with light blue.
It will have to stay on for 3 weeks , I am not so happy but it is the best to let it heal, this means that I will still need people to help me. This has been a quite humble experience. I like to do things on my own, asking for help not really something I would ask for. Folding clothes with one hand, not fun at all. I like my house to be clean and always picture perfect, I have learned now that I have to take it easy and that the house doesn't always have to be perfect.

Fashion in Paris

While on vacation in Paris, I tried snapping a couple of pictures of random people. This is the fun part when you get a good spot for people watching. Lot's of inspiration. From the model on a photo shoot to the lady with the lovely read head covering.

Farrielle's look of the day.

I am being very short today, I so miss doing things with my right hand. Yesterday was a bit hard for me, but I am doing so far so good.
Made myself chicken soup with my left hand and now I am going to catch up on a Spanish soap and enjoy my soup.
I got a pair of Rayban's from Lucky in the mail today just to say thanks. This really cheered me up. Thanks Gina and Lucky.

Crazy Accident

Hi ladies. I am back in Atlanta.
Yesterday morning I went to the Dr because I came back with a terrible cold. I got meds and decided to do some cleaning because I've been away for 2 and a half weeks. I got a black and white picture from my in-laws. I wanted to put it in a frame.

WARNING!!!!!!


This coming part is going to be a bit bloody, not intended for the weak stomach. While cleaning the glass part I cut myself badly on the upper part of my thumb. I saw that the cut was bad because I saw the bone. So, to make the story short after seeing my Dr he send me to a hand surgeon. After a couple of x-rays, they had to peform surgery to reconnect a tendon in my thumb. So, the typing today is being done by my daughter. I can't use my right hand and I am in a lot of pain on and off so for a couple of days I don't think I can blog. Kim took a pic of my hand so you have a better view. It is not stylish. I will keep reading your blogs but for now it will be a bit difficult to comment on them. Have a great weekend.

Chateau Versailles

On our trip back to Holland we stopped at Chateau Versailles, in one word Amazing.
We have taken 1500 pics while in Paris, I can't wait to share some of the cool things I have seen in Paris.
