I think White and Green sounds better in French, I guess it's my love for languages.

I have been asked to sell my jewelry at Whimsical Wares Spring Show, so today I spent the day shopping for things to decorate my table where I am going to place my jewelry. I have been thinking of neutrals and the Beach since I am from Caribbean.

Glad that the weekend has started, yesterday I spent the night sipping Queentini's and wine while celebrating the Queens birthday, a party thrown by the Dutch Consulate. They had yummy food and I got to make the black eye pea puffs (this involved peeling the beans for 6 hours) and Caribbean  Fruit Punch.

Tonight I have been watching Driving Miss Daisy.

Sunday's Best: Tomato Red.

I have two friends who introduced me to Thrift shopping, and since that and the song that wont leave my head, I have fallen in love, yes with thrift shopping of course.

I recently found a great location with super cool brands and vintage clothes.

I got this blouse and had to have it.

Since then I wore it with cutoff shorts, and jeans.

I wore this yesterday, today I spent almost my whole day cooking dinner for my family and my friend who just had a baby. Other then that I made a chocolate lava cake dessert that was super delicious now I am ready for my bed ..... goodnight peeps.

Summer Shrimp Salad.

Who doesn't love salads, whether a simple side salad or a dinner salad I am always trying out different ways I can a different touch to salads.

I came up with this, what I like about this one is that  you can make this one ahead of time and keep in cold in the refrigerator until dinner or lunch. If you  don’t like shrimps you can substitute it with grilled or sautéed Salmon. Ok here we go I hope I explain it good, it's easy and yummy.

Summer Shrimp Salad

You will need:

1 pound of Shrimps without the tails

2 ripe avocados

1 ripe mango

Romaine Lettuce ( I used two heads )

Almonds

Dried cranberries

Cilantro

I seasoned my shrimp with a mix of Caribbean Jerk seasonings, Cajun spices and Badia all seasoning.

But you can use whatever seasoning you want to. I then sauteed them in a pan and put them aside. I then toasted the almonds and put those also aside, if you do not like almonds, I am pretty sure that pine nuts would work just as fine. Wash the lettuce and chopped them into bite size pieces and place them in a salad bowl. I cut the avocado and mango also into bite size pieces. I  mix the avocado, mango, dried cranberries, toasted almonds with the lettuce.

I chopped some fresh cilantro and mix this as well. I added the Shrimp and mix everything well, this salad is yummy on its own just sprinkle a little bit of lime and your dinner is ready. I love balsamic vinaigrette so I decided to sprinkle just a tiny bit on it , one word Delicious.

If you decide to use Salmon just grilled or sauteed the salmon and then let it cool a bit then cut them in bite size pieces and add these to your salad.

Today was one of those beautiful day's , the sun was out, light breeze, good company and a yummy lunch in old Roswell.

I decided to wear all white and combined it with browns. 

I bought these glasses 2 weeks ago, I love this shape and that it has the golden rim.

I can't wait to share a yummy summer salad I put together today for a magazine in Holland.

Trying to get back into this blogging world, I have been overwhelmed with many things to much to mention. But on the other hand, I had a great weekend it involved a lot of booty shaking (2 Zumba events that were all together 4 hours of fun).
