Last Weekend Recap: Afro divas

Last weekend was Halloween, and these are some of the pictures I took.
Me and my friend were Afro Divas that handed candy out for the kids in the neighborhood. I also have a video but will have to edit it when I have some free time. Have a great Saturday guys.

Friday: Skinny Cargo Pants

I build today's outfit around this super cool  grey scarf. I love scarves but not your usual scarf. I love the ones that when you wear it with a simple white t-shirt it adds something extra, let's call that a certain chicness.

Despite the cold and wind I feel pretty good . I was on the look out for a location to take a picture and we drove by this beautiful but small park. I used to bring the kids here when they were little.
Don't you love fall, the beautiful colors of the leaves, that you can wear your favorite jacket that shelters you from the chill and eat deliciously  comfort food. Tonight feels like a night to lounge by the fireplace, with a glass of wine and a  bowl of  yummy chili .... but not sure if I am the one cooking it though:)

Wednesday's look of the day: leather jacket and jeans is all I need!

Second rainy gray day here in Georgia, not so much fun at all. This kinda weather makes me want to stay in bed and watch a movie. But my friend Lisa asked me and my friend J to help her find a dress for a cousin's wedding. So the mall we went. She ended up buying a dress that is so versatile.
This is what I wore to the mall.

How do I wear these boots??

My friend stopped  by earlier showing me her newest boots, I think I caught my self drooling over them. She was wondering how to incorporate them in her fall/winter wardrobe.

She seemed to not really like them as much as I do, but I think to be able to wear them proudly you need to have a dose  of ms. confidence....  ok I am not saying that she is not confident you all. There are many options you can choose from and still look stylish and chic.
When I buy boots if they are expensive I tend to buy black or dark brown that way I can wear it with anything.

Here are some options:
1. ATunic style dress, pattern tights and boots,  you can even layer a cardigan to keep you warm
2. Depending on your age or if your legs are still looking fabulous you can wear shorts in a heavy fabric like   tweed, tights , a nice top tucked in and layered it with a sweater.
3. A jacket or a peacoat will also look chic.
4. Paired with skinny jeans tucked and slouchy sweater or a tunic  is also another stylish look this is my favorite option.
5. Legging are also a nice option but wear them with a tunic or a mini dress never with a short top.

Monday Etsy finds: Return to the Lagoon

My inspiration is the color lagoon this season’s turquoise and also Pantone’s 2010 color of the year. This color adds a tropical splash.
Lagoon is a great color for fall and winter, especially if used in accessories, try pairing with all shades of red. I like pairing mine with black and silver.

Happy Friday: This scarf kept me warm

Happy it is Friday, not so happy about the cold . Thank goodness for this chunky scarf I picked out this morning.   I bought it at TJMaxx, I love scarves cause they add such a special touch to outfits and they frame your face beautifully. I have friends that when they go on trips I asked them to bring me an interesting scarf back.

These pictures were taken after me and my friend had tea on the square this morning. I have so many things planned, tonightI am having friends over for cake and appetizers. Tomorrow I am the snack person for the soccer game, and then later party at my friend Jamilie's house. Sunday I will greet the trick or treaters with my friend, hope to do a video or something funny. Have a great weekend.

Vlog: Happy Birthday to my Hubby

I wanted to wish my husband a happy birthday, He is special in many ways, He supports me in everything I do and loves me unconditionally, there is so much more about him but he knows that cause I tell him daily how much I love him. I got to spent the whole day as an extra for a commercial and I felt kinda guilty that I was away from home. This is what he told me " go and do what you love"
