Kimmi has been asking for a bigger bedroom for a long time now, so this Summer we decided to start paiting the room and then go out and find the right furniture.
She wanted a nice soft beach color, we found the Sea glass swatch color at Home Depot but since I do not really like their paint I took it to Benjamin Moore and there they matched it for me.
I wanted to see everything organized (I am a bit of neat freak) so we bought baskets to keep things like diaries, old pictures and other stuff.We bought the bed, light fixture and chair at Ikea and the desk was from Pottery Barn.
I framed black and white pictures for wall art and at Hobby Lobby I found the Paris art one, which is a reminder of our Paris trip 2 years ago.
I used a book shelf for a vanity we didn''t want to crowd the room with another furniture piece , the advantage of the shelf is that only the things she needs will be on there so it won't get cluttered.
